The function of Diodes is to act as one of the simplest forms of semiconductors. It blocks the entire current flow on one side and results in unidirectional current flow. It protects the device from irregularities in current flow and is an essential component in battery run equipment. It also protects the device when the battery is accidentally inserted in an inverted direction.
