Transistors & Diodes

One of the simplest forms of the semiconductor is Transistor and Diode when talking about electrical circuits. Transistors use three layers in place of two layers as used in the diode. A transistor can act as a switch or as an amplifier and has three legs. A diode, on the other hand, blocks all current in one direction and has three legs. Transistors are used to create NPN and PNP switches and look like two diodes placed back to back. These products are essential in an electric circuit and therefore we test them for optimum functioning.

Features:

  • Small current passed through the center layer of transistor resulting in a large current passing as a whole
  • Equipped with switching behavior that can use a small current to block large current
  • Boolean gates can be created using transistors as switches
